So for halfamoon, I decided to dust off the PS skillz and celebrate these wonderful, wonderful women. Aaaaaand I'm getting it in JUST in the nick of time.

I decided to play around with some stock photos that I picked up from Google Images and the Associated Press. A lot of these are music oriented since that's where the muse took me. These are my first icons in a long while - just wanted to play a bit to get back into the swing.

This is an archive post for the icons I created for alwaysjbj (pen name of "always_jbj" so y'all don't think I'm dense) as part of Sweet Charity during the writers' strike auction. Since these icons were created per spec, I ask you please not to snurch, grab, alter or take any of them. As deluded as the person must have been at the time to bid on me, please remember that someone paid for these icons and I wouldn't feel right about them traipsing about the place, cheating on their rightful owner. :D That said, I did receive the recipient's permission to make this archive post.

Most of these were an exploration of color basics and textures, especially in relation to the backgrounds. My requests were Spike/Buffy, Giles/Ethan and Spike as the recipient's favorites. I managed one animated icon that I'm DAMNED proud of. It's the one I'm most tempted to alter for myself, but I won't be doing it for a long, long, long while (see statement above about other people's stuff).

I created this mix while putting together Gravity Sings, the Sam/Jack story I wrote for the apocalypse_kree ficathon. I intended to send this to all of my fandom peeps with their Christmas packets this year. But since I suck at mailing things for yet another year, I decided to upload it so y'all could have at least a little something.

And who knows. I may still do those packets. There was more to them than just this mix, and I'd love to break another bad habit this year.

A few days ago, rigel_7 posted about an LJ community, ljsecrets. Less than a day after that, annerbhp, lyssie, and holdouttrout had a conversation about the really embarassing things or things that you've been hiding from your friends list about fandom. I'm not sure if rigel_7's post had any influence (aside from on me since I'm now junked up on ljsecrets), but annerbhp went back to her LJ and started this really fun meme.

So of course, I'm nicking it.

This experiment was so I could play around with some awesome brushes and textures I found surfing around. I also decided to try my very first animated movie icon.

I've been learning my way around the lasso and eraser tools and playing with textures and brushes. The result? A metric ton of icons from several very diverse fandoms.
